This cake I tried for my fifth anniversay. I wasn't able to attend the class 3 and had to try the rose on my own. Not bad for the first time i think!



This is the rainbow cake I made for wilton course 1,class 2. We had to put the zigzag lines instead of stars as we ran out of time. However, the cake came out pretty good.

Nikon D90 - my new digital SLR

I got a new Nikon D90. Love the camera! Still have not read the manual fully..Exploring with the camera myself with the help of some online contents abt Digital Photography with DSLR!
Some of the photos that i took of my son came excellent. It was a few months before. Now he is not allowing me to take any photos. He just wants to explore the camera too! ;)

Posting after a long time

Got busy with kid..now he is one and I am starting to slowly relax. Got a new camera after we(kid n myself) broke the Canon S2 IS! Will update my blog slowly now n then!

A R Rahman concert at Long Island NY

I am a fan of A R Rahman and i was very much excited when I saw the ad about Rahman's performance at Nassau colliseum, Long Island NY! Immediately i booked the tickets and was there at the show on Saturday night! It was a great feast from Rahman. A show that everyone wud love. It was spellbounding! The last 3 songs from Boys, Bombay and Vandhe Madharam were beyond words. Its a life time memory for me!
I was unable take camcorder inside. So, i took waterver i cud with my camera. Most fotos were blurry and shaken! I uploaded the photos of the concert at http://good-times.webshots.com/album/559485812fiypJj.

Lottery to decide H1B visas for 2008

Seems that the US Immigration services recieved more than 150,000 applications for 65,000 H1B visas during the first day itself. If u r lucky enough u cud get thru! I dont think its a good idea! I have applied for H1 and waiting for the results! This sys will not help the deserved candidates. I dont say that I am a deserved candidate and I shd get it. If I get, its my luck! There are lot more deserved candidates waiting in the queue. Hope the lottery system has some logic before selecting anyone!
