A cute lil Bumblebee cake

This is a lovely bumblebee cake that I did for a one year old boy. This is the second time I am making this cake. I don't like repeating designs. However, I loved doing the first time and so did I for the second one too! It is such a simple cake, yet a happy one! Cute too...... The original design was modified by the mom, who first ordered the cake.

Hi Mekala, came across your site while searching for Bakeware suppliers in B'lore. Thanks for all the info!

Also, you are so talented! Was just going through all the cakes and bakes. Love the details on the frostings that you do :)

Hi Mekala!
Firstly I love love love your blog! Your cakes, cupcakes and everything else, serves as an inspiration for many of my cakes!

I would like to ask you a small question, I notice that your fondant covered layered cakes are fruit filled or even butter cream filled. How do you preserve them for a day. Or do you make all of them, fill, crumb coat and fondant layer them the same day as when it would be served.

My cakes layered with fondant tend to get watery and sticky if i leave them in the fridge over night. (once on my counted top). But I really don want the filling inside going bad either.

I was hoping you could help me out.
