Jungle Theme Cake for Gautham

1 week after Ashok's birthday is Gautham's. So, it was hectic working on 2 cakes in that short time with a naughty boy running around and grabbing all the tools n stuff!
There was a confusion whether to make a castle cake or jungle cake. Got all the stuff necessary for Castle cake, but Ashok insisted on doing jungle cake as Gautham likes animals a lot! So stared making the gumpaste animals couple of weeks earlier! Did monkey, elephant, giraffe, lion, puupy, bumlebees, ladybugs, mushrooms, dolphins, penguins, birds and small flowers. Lots of work, but it was all worth for my lil boy! He loved the cake!

About the cake, its a 2 tiered cake. Bottom tier is a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Top layer is a cream cake and chocolate cake made like a checker(it was just a trial at last minute) with vanilla buttercream frosting. Both the layers covered in fondant. Thanks to Isabelle , a colleague who gave idea for the tree. The water was royal icing and rest of the figurines are all in gum paste.

Hi,
Can u pls tell me where can i buy fondants in bangalore? Pls let me know asap. I want to buy a fondant mold from US for my sister. Only if she can buy ready made fondants she will be able to use the mold. otherwise making a fondant right from scratch will be too much of work i think. Just bec i bought a mold she should not be forced to do fondants on her own. otherwise i will buy something else. i hav to make quick decision as i am leaving in 3 days. kindly help. thanks.

@Ramya - Sorry for the late reply.
Ready to use fondant(imported brand) is available at General Food Additives. Also you can get it from Bakels Distributor, Bangalore.
IBCA, Bangalore also sells fondant which I was not happy with. But if you are getting from them, please get instructions from them on how to use it.
